So we are trying again tonight for the induction. We went in Tuesday night and after 10 hours on Cervadil and then 8 hours of Pitocin we had only gotten to 2 cms. Totally depressing! Our doctor told us that if we wanted to continue increasing the Pitocin we could but she couldn’t see us fully dilating at that point so we would probably end up with a c-section. We could go ahead and elect a c-section or we could check out, go home, rest and try again. We chose try again…though obviously we aren’t guaranteed non surgical results tonight either.
We aren’t real sure what the kid is waiting for. We’ve given her ample time to grow and develop. We finished her nursery, washed all her clothes and have even tried to teach her older sister how to be “gentle” with the baby. We are now at 42 weeks+. I may give birth to a toddler.
Instead of blaming the kid perhaps I should be writing a note to the cervix…
Dear Stubborn Cervix,
Please consider opening up so that baby Deucie can come out. You aren’t making things any easier on yourself in the long run.

Giving birth to a toddler - are you positive you don't want to elect for a c-section? That just gave me the shivers :)
