We have had some fabulous seventy degree days recently, so there have been several outings to the park. Lauren got to enjoy her first time on the swing! Hayden enjoyed showing her how it’s done.

Lauren has been taking a step or two during the past few weeks, but today she seems intent on taking several at a time. It’s so fun watching her make new discoveries and “strides” in development. (pun totally intended)
The girls have been enjoying some new bath toys since Christmas. The drums and drumsticks are favorites (thanks Uncle Jason.) Lauren may be destined for the rhythm section of the band.
Like 19 degrees cold. Brrr. Bryan had an inclement weather day so we have enjoyed a very relaxed at-home family day.
Bryan really wanted to go outside and check out the snow and ice and of course Hayden wanted to go with him. The problem being that we don’t have snow/freezing weather appropriate clothing for the girls. (honestly I didn’t even get them winter coats this year…bad mommy.) So H’s outfit consisted of: fleecy, footed pajamas; turtle neck sweater; lined corduroy vest; windbreaker with hood (my attempt at water proofing); fleece pants; toboggan (from last year); two pairs of mittens and her boots.
I believe that she had a great time the ten minutes or so they were out there. I braved the elements for a few pictures. My hands are still thawing out…
