In The Words of Hayden

 

While on a walk around the block today Hayden laughs and says, “Mom, I opened my mouth and some cold got in!”

While eating grapes at lunch one day this week Hayden looks at me and says, “Mommy, this is a great recipe.” My new fallback dish: grapes.

While sitting on my lap following a rest time Hayden looks at my t-shirt which has a snow skier on it.

Hayden points at my chest and asks, “what’s this?”

Me, “a skier”

Hayden, “what’s underneath your shirt?”

Me (rolling my eyes to myself), “my bra.”

Hayden, “what’s under that?”

Me (so excited to be having this conversation), “my chest.”

Hayden, “do you have any boobs under there?”
