Hopscotch

Hayden asked the other day if we could play hopscotch.  I believe this was motivated by seeing kids on Barney play the game.  It was New Year’s Day which had previously been earmarked for lounging and football watching, so instead of getting dressed and going into the chilly outdoors to play we chose to play in the living room. 

H. wasn’t really into actually hopping on the squares, but she did enjoy running back and forth and watching me and Bryan bounce around.  And while Lauren couldn’t get in on the hopping action she did enjoy playing with the tape and cuddling with her daddy.

By-the-way, blue painters tape is a wonderful tool for play!
