Friday-Culture

Following the stroll in the park we ventured into the Art Institute of Chicago.

IMG_9372 IMG_9378In between seriously viewing some great works of art we played a fun game where we tried to guess the name of the painting before we read the description.

This was mine…IMG_9379

I guessed “fancy boy rides a ram.” I was close.  It was in fact…IMG_9380Bryan didn’t do nearly as well. This was his painting…IMG_9382He guessed, “woman with soldier.” Obviously he didn’t notice the olive branch the woman was holding or he would have guessed…IMG_9383We also enjoy affecting the same type of pose as the people in the paintings.  Here is Bryan’s take on one of my favorite pieces, Breton’s The Song of the Lark. IMG_9384IMG_9386 He is good.  Very good.

We also enjoyed these…and many more.

We had a great time being together…and I definitely felt smarter when we left.
