Six Months of Lauren

Half a year folks!  I can hardly stand it!

We visited Dr. S and he confirmed what we strongly suspected…Lauren continues to get more wonderful! She weighs 18 pounds and 13 ounces (85%), is 24.5 inches in length (50%) and her princess crown is 16+ (50%). 

Lauren has four teeth.  Two on top and two on bottom.  The teething process has been a little painful…for both of us, but we are hoping the worst is over.  She has started to enjoy some oatmeal for breakfast and assures me she is looking forward to trying other yummy foods soon! (I’ve been in no hurry to start her on solids, but hate to put it off much longer just because I’m lazy. That girl watches us eat like a hawk.)

Lauren’s current favorites are: sitting up, flapping her hands and wiggling her fingers around, milk, bath time, being entertained by her sister, milk, cuddling with Daddy in the morning, chewing on anything she can find and not letting Mommy out of her sight. 

My favorites: her toothy smiles, how she likes to rest her forehead against your forehead, seeing her watch Hayden so intently and imagining all the fun they will have together, cuddling all her sweet little rolls, the surprised and then disgusted expression on her face when she leans forward just a little too far while sitting up and ends up on her tummy…which she hates, and having her reach her little arms out for me to hold her--this makes me totally melt inside. We are loving this cuddly age and trying to enjoy her being stationary.  We know that very soon she will be on the move! Can hardly stand how quickly she is growing!  Tap the brakes please.

Lord, thank you for our sweet Lauren Elizabeth. We love her so very much and pray that she continues to grow into a healthy and loving little girl!
