We enjoyed attending VBS at our church this past week. I worked in Babies 4 (15 month olds) while Hayden and Lauren went to their own classes.
Hayden was quite popular with her teachers. They all thought she was wonderful…very well behaved. (if there is ever a place for your kid to be on her best behavior I suppose church is a good choice) She brought home a great horse picture made from her handprint and seemed to really like the time they spent on the playground.
Lauren enjoyed spending time in the swing, the bouncy seat and being snuggled by the sweet ladies in the baby nursery. The week totally screwed up her schedule, but we work hard to be flexible. (FYI-I hate being flexible which is why it’s such work.)
I learned that I never want to mother 16 one year olds at one time. Thank goodness for the other three ladies in our class!
I have great memories from attending VBS while growing up. I’m glad my girls will get to attend VBS and make some fun memories of their own!
Lord, thank you for VBS and the wonderful leaders who work so hard to coordinate the madness!
