One Month of Lauren

Can you believe that Lauren has been here for a month?

This past month has flown (except for some of the nights…they’ve crawled.)  We have had so much fun getting to know her. 

Lauren hasn’t learned many tricks, but what she does she does well.  She is a great eater and pooper and is even a good sleeper…when she wants to be.  The past few nights she has eaten at 11, 3, and 7 which has allowed me six hours of sleep in two large chunks! Yay Lauren, Yay me!

Lauren likes milk, baths, rocking in the rocking chair, gazing into our eyes and occasionally sharing loves with her sister.  She doesn’t mind having her diaper or clothes changed...  which is good since it seems to happen ALL the time.  She has started the Prevacid (like Hayden was on) and it seems to have helped ease some discomfort she was showing after she ate. Apparently the reflux can run in the family. 

She has gained weight like a champ.  I’ll find out her current stats on Friday when we visit Dr. S. for our one month visit.  I’m looking forward to finding out how “healthy” she is.

We are making it day by day and with the grace of God. Going from 1 to 2 is no cake walk folks, but we have been receiving lots of meals, prayers and visits which have been so helpful!

Thank you Lord for Lauren Elizabeth.  We are so glad you chose to send her to our family. Thank you for our friends and family who have cared for us during all the transition!
