Cry Me A River

Hayden's cry has started to change. We noticed this yesterday. It has gone from an incoherent scream/wail to often sounding like a very mad scream of "DA, DA, DA, DA". This is cute when done in a precious baby coo, but turn it up a few decimals and put some upset behind it and it goes from sweet to heartbreaking. I'm not sure if this is just a natural progression, or a very smart move on her part. After putting her down for bed it's much easier to pretend to ignore the brief wailing, but the heart wrenching cry of "da, da, da" seems like a definite accusation of abandonment. Thankfully it lasts just a few minutes and we have been able to stay strong.

Of course, all bets are off when it turns to "MA, MA, MA, MA".
