You saw this picture in an earlier post. I love the subjects :) But the background was a little cluttered with stuff we didn’t bother to pick up before we snapped the shot. I’ve been messing around on www.picnik.com to see if I could clean stuff up. This is what I’ve got so far. We have this on our desk top…what a couple of cuties!

Fun With Editing
Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Best Friends
I know that eventually Hayden will have a best friend who isn’t eight inches tall, stuffed and only wears red. But until then she enjoys her time with George (dubbed “Juicy” by H.)
He sleeps with her, goes to the doctor with her and seems to make everything hard a little bit easier. He endures a lot.
We sure do love Juicy. (Hayden even reads the Bible to him:)
Thank you Lord for lovies that help our kiddo feel safe and secure!

All Through the Night
She slept.
The past few nights have been full of…nothing. It’s been fabulous. Lauren has gone from 7pm to 6:30/7:00am without a feeding. The first night we let her cry through her regular wake up and feeding time and then she would cry a tad every hour or so to see if we were serious. And we were.
The next night she slept straight through. The doctor wasn’t kidding when he said she didn’t really need to be eating every few hours at night—of course we pretty much knew that from looking at her “healthy” little thighs :)
I’m so glad that process was relatively smooth. And I am really enjoying a good nights rest!
Thank you Lord for a healthy baby and healthy sleep…for everyone.

New Noisy Toisies
We have the sweetest neighbors. Recently they decided their grandchildren were too old for many of the toys in their toy closet. Hayden and Lauren were the happy recipients of the gently loved goodies.
(should be noted that almost every single toy makes noise…obviously toys from a grandparent’s home.)
Thank you Bill and Karen for the new goodies…the girls LOVE them!
Thank you Lord for neighbors who care for our girls!
Play Date
We had some sweet friends over this week to play. Fun was had by all…most of the time.
Ellis, Campbell, Lauren, Hayden, Anna, James and Jackson.
Thank you Lord for friends!

Five Months of Lauren
That Lauren Elizabeth is pretty great. Let me tell you…
This past month has been so fun. She is sitting up and doing lots of “talking”. She loves to move her hands around and is into holding rattles, small baby dolls or anything else Hayden brings and drops gently in her lap. We haven’t tried the cereal again but she assures me that currently the milk is plenty.
Her night sleep is finally increasing (thank you Lord!). To date her longest night sleep is 10 hours and 45 minutes. She consistently gets an 8 hour stretch followed by another 4 hour stretch after a quick snack. She is still enjoying her Miracle Blanket though she has usually wormed her way out of it by morning which is supposed to be the sign to stop swaddling…not sure I’m ready to let it go.
Lauren is quite the charmer and will often throw out the most wonderful smiles…unless you are trying to take her picture. Then she is solemn Sally. I did snap some great ones after I fed her today. (apparently she can be bribed with milk.)
I don’t have new stats but will next month. We sure are loving our Baby Lauren!
Thank you Lord for our sweet Lauren Elizabeth!

Weekend At Burney’s-Vacation Edition
We had a wonderful time in Odessa this past weekend. Bryan took a few days off and we drove to my mom’s house. The vacation was full of Grammy time, Granny Mac time, Auntie April & Uncle Brian time, Legos, songs, ring-around-the-rosie, Taco Villa, Rosas, Barn Door, baby shower for best friend time, and all around relaxing time.
Everything was so very nice. The trips to and from were bearable (especially when we added in the laptop/DVD player). The girls did wonderfully and several times while we were there and on the way home Hayden said, “I have fun at Grammy’s house.” “May we go to Grammy’s house again?” I’m sure we can squeeze in another trip or two before you are grown…
Enjoy the pictures!
Thanks to Grammy and Granny Mac for being such fabulous hostesses. Better than any 5 star hotel!
Thank you Lord for our family!
